Gary Groomes: Curiosities
Since an early age, Gary Groomes has been an avid collector of interesting artifacts and diverse objects. He has traveled extensively in search of fossils, movie posters, antique furniture, oriental rugs, glassware, paintings, lithographs, Japanese prints, Chinese porcelain, and rocket-propelled grenade launchers. Gary is particularly proud of his world-class neckwear collection. Enormous in scope, it consists of nearly three thousand ties from over fifty countries. His collection has been featured in such famous publications as Tie Fancy Magazine and Neckwear Daily. Each tie is individually catalogued and stored in a walk-in, climate-controlled vault. Gary Groomes always wears a tie to his voice-over recording sessions, even phone patches!
A darker side of Gary is expressed by his insatiable desire to collect “dictator” memorabilia. A keen student of tyrants, he has amassed a veritable treasure trove of totalitarian trinkets, representing everyone from Napolean to George W. Bush. Here we see Gary Groomes enjoying some quality time with the leadership of the Third Reich.
